Get every detail:

Have you ever gone to an ecotourism place that was truly a species' sanctuary? If so, you know it is a rare and wonderful experience! If not, making sure Buraco das Araras (Macaws' Hole) makes into your Bonito MS Brazil plans will be an unforgettable experience.

Places that are known as sanctuary have special traits, 2 of them are:
1. The fact that the animals have chosen to live there;
2. The fact that the animals are free to come and go, eat, and behave the way they actually would in the wild;

The result is that you will find a good amount of animals in the purest moments and behaviors. Or not. It may seem like a joke, but it is important to note that because it is like a sanctuary, the animals are not fed, named, or trained. So, it could be that they do not show up during the activity.

Either way, another incredible thing that makes up Buraco das Araras (Macaws' Hole) is the hole in itself, a sink hole! It is one of the largest in the world and will surely impress anyone who takes the time to pay attention to its formation, its magnitude or its history. It is about 100 meters deep and has a diameter of around 160 meters. It is truly a geological gift from nature to those who do this activity.

OPERATION*:

- When you arrive, turn your voucher in at the front desk;
- Pay attention to the information on group organization, each group is no more than 10 people;
- When it's time to begin, the guide will gather the group to provide initial information and make sure everyone's shoes are appropriate and allowed;
- The nature walk begins right from the main area, with an early stop where the guide goes over information about the property and the path;
- Once on the trail, you can see the plants and, with luck, may already see some macaws;
- The trail leads to the first overlook, which is a great place to observe the sinkhole and, with luck, see red macaws on the trees, flying around and/or near their nests;
- After spending a few minutes at the first overlook, the group goes around the sinkhole, to the overlook on the other side;
- When a few more minutes have passed, the guide will lead everyone back to the main areas through trails that are different than the ones on the way in;
* The whole operation usually lasts around 1 hour, but it may vary due to weather conditions, specific group needs, or the red macaws presence, which may or may not appear to visitors at any given time;
