Prata River (Rio da Prata in Portuguese) is one of the largest rivers in the Bonito and Jardim MS Brazil area. It is the town's border and is home to lots of fish. The river's waters are transparent, but because it is a larger river, in this area they are not as clear as at the spring. This is why most of the famous Rio da Prata snorkeling activity actually happens on Olho d'Água (Water Eye) river.
Olho d'Água river has gorgeous springs and unbelievably clear waters. It is the place where snorkeling happens and when it ends at Prata River, depending on weather conditions, people may be able to stay in the water to snorkel the final stretch, which is on Prata River itself.
Because it was one of the first established, Rio da Prata is one of the most traditional and popular snorkeling options in Bonito. The property is actually located in Jardim, the next town over from Bonito MS Brazil. While in the river, you will see tons of types of plants and animals. You will also have the opportunity to see an unforgetable upwelling!
The word prata means silver, so translating the name literally we get: Silver River or River of Silver.
